Avianca Guatemala (formerly TACA Regional Guatemala and Aviateca Guatemala) operates under the former Aviateca operating certificate and is based at Guatemala City La Aurora Airport. Avianca Holdings SA revealed its new unified ‘Avianca’ brand image for TACA member airlines on 28-May-2013, following its merger with Grupo TACA. Avianca announced plans to reactive its Guatemalan 'Aviateca' subsidiary in Dec-2022, with plans to launch services to Flores, Comayagua and San Salvador (El Salvador). All services will be operated with 180 seat A320 aircraft.
