STARLUX Airlines (JX)

STARLUX Airlines is a Taiwanese carrier founded by former Eva Air chairman, Chang Kuo-Wei. The carrier was established as a charter airline, tapping the premium business travel market with a fleet of A350 aircraft. STARLUX signed a firm order for 17 A350 XWBs, comprising 12 A350-1000s and five shorter-fuselage A350-900 variants in Mar-2019. STARLUX Airlines received its official business registration certificate from the Ministry of Economic Affairs on 02-May-2018. The carrier plans to operate services to destinations in the Asia Pacific, North America and Europe. STARLUX launched commercial operations on 23-Jan-2020. In Mar-2021, STARLUX Airlines stated plans to launch services to the US in late 2022.
